Alumni Updates
It was great to see so many Compass alumni at the school and around town in June. We older folks take great pride in seeing you all doing so well in so many ways. I know I will probably miss a bunch of alum I have seen, and get a lot of info wrong here and am missing much of the important information about each of you, but for some quick profiles of some I have been pleased to see lately, here goes. If you want more accurate and complete information, you should get on the Compass alumni facebook page and do whatever your generation does to share in this format:
Kate Fellows: Kate is loving her work in New Jersey as a pastry chef and cake maker. She looked super healthy and happy after finishing culinary school and working creating beautiful desserts
Ryan Jacobs: It was great to see Ryan when on leave from his posting in Af.ghanistan. Ryan is looking tremendously fit (Oliver says all Ryan does is lift weights when not on patrol carrying a load of weight in gear). We all appreciate his service and wish him well.
Oliver Kyser: Back from National Guard training and looking strong and healthy. May be looking for more full time work with the Guard.
Austin Kyser: Did a great job filling in for Janice at Compass for much of last year. Looking to work for C&S this summer when he isn't lamenting the injury ridden Red Sox.
Emma Mullen: Seen out and about in Saxtons River and can be found this summer working at Pleasant Valley Brewpub
Maera Cramer: Graduated from college and has been contracted by the Center for School Climate and Learning as the graphics designer for the development of this new, national educational consulting group.
Asa Cramer: Maybe everyone else has seen her blond hair, but she looked great in her summer back from college in ROchester where she is studying film making.
Ameilia O'Keefe: Happily in school in Hawaii and loving life out there.
Jessica Pedigo: Going to be working with Sotheby's pursuing her deep interest in art and curating.
Peter Lowell: Cool hairdo spotted as he ambled through Gallery Walk in Brattleboro.
Asha Costley Bupp: Can be seen playing baseball for the resurgent Saxtons River Pirates.
Reese Lester: Rumor had him around town with a baby? No word on hair color (for Reese or the child).
Matt Kobel: Back from Portland, Oregon for part of the summer before heading back to this lovely city on the West Coast. Doing all sorts of cool stuff out there, including continuing to create art.
Jocelyn Peknik: Spotted on a float in the Saxtons River 4th of July Parade and part of a beautiful photo exhibit in Brattleboro last year.
Alex Swanson: Loved his time in NYC selling chocolate for Burdick's. Heading to UVM for college in the Fall.
Cal Wessels Glover: Cal is spotted around Brattleboro often where he is working for the wonderful local paper The Commons.
We'd love to hear from you (and share that information here). Please email to the school about your whereabouts. All the best to the alum.
