Peter Terwilliger wins Congressional Art Award

Compass students have been producing incredibly high quality work this year. The numerous public exhibitions have highlighted the wealth of talent here. Compared to other schools at these exhibits, it appears Compass has a higher percentage of students displaying their art, the art is more often connected to the academic curriculum, and the quality is more consistent across the board. For some examples of relatively simple incorporation of the arts in an academic course, check out Beth White's website.

Peter Terwilliger was recently chosen for a Congressional Art Award from a competitive pool of artists statewide. Winning the Judge's Choice Award for his portfolio of work, Peter represents the many talents of his and his peers. Peter has a particular interest in photograhy, which he has pursued in exploratories as well as for his junior project.
