Compass Receives Grants for Scholarships and Arts

The Compass School recently received generous grants from the Thompson Trust and the Vermont Arts Council to support student scholarships and exposure to the arts through our Spring trips.  This arts grant was awarded through the Council’s new Cultural Routes Program and it supported transportation costs for students from our school to visit the Museum of Fine Arts and Institute for Contemporary Arts as well as two Improvisational Comedy clubs as an integral part of the all school Spring Trip to Boston.

A Spectacular Celebration of Compass at Graduation

“I bet a lot of you thought with 14 graduates, this graduation ceremony couldn’t take long,” said Assistant Director Eric Rhomberg about 2 hours into this incredibly moving event. Words cannot capture the soulful spirit of the afternoon, as over 200 teachers, graduates, family, and friends all had a part in celebrating the graduates.
