Compass Learning Opens Bald Hill to the Community

Compass School middle school students continue their “learning for the real world” as they work on the Bald Hill Conservation Area as a central part of their Fall Science and Humanities curriculum. Partnering with the Bald Hill Conservation Committee of the Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association, Compass is addressing a need for mapping the trail system and developing a nature trail guide that will benefit the local community.

College Day

Compass High School students will spend the day traveling to Bennington, Vermont, to visit Southern Vermont College and Bennington College.  The bus will leave at 8:00 and return about 4:00.

Soccer Games

Come watch the two school wage their annual Halloween game.  Both teams will be dressed as goblins and ghosts as they renew this yearly match.  This game is looked forward to by both schools and is always fun.  Bus should be back at Compass School around 5:30.

Compass School is hosting their Fall Open House. Come and see how we educate students to pursue their dreams and have a positive impact on the world.

Global Connections Homepage

The Compass School Global Connections Travel Program is particpating in a fourteen day Service Learning Project in the Dominican Republic!  Students will experience increased connections with the wide range of perspectives beyond their borders as they do farm work and building projects in and around the island.  They will complete reflections in journals and an on-line blog as well as share their experience via presentations throughout the Southern Vermont and New Hampshire regions!

As you may have noticed, we've recently had some down time with the Compass website and our email. We just underwent a necessary server change, and the transition met with some unexpected obstacles. The webstie is back now, as you can see by reading this. Teachers' email and mailing list should be back as well. The families and other mailing lists should be back online by Tuesday 10/27. Thank you for your patience with all of this.
