Algebra 2 09-10

1st Trimester 2009-2010

We are starting the year focusing on variables. You have solved for them in the past but wait until we get going. We will work with all kinds of twists and turns. This will solidify a number of skills so when you head into second trimester the pieces will fall into place a great deal faster. I sure think it's fun- hope you do as well. Louise

Louise will be teaching precalculus this year.

Intensives and Exploratories

This Fall I will be leading a running exploratory. We will incorporate speed and strength training into our program with the hope of building endurance for distance running. 

 

During the second quarter, I will be working with a group of students to collaboratively create and print a Compass school newspaper. This will be an intensive, and will meet on Mondays and Tuesdays. 

 

I also lead Cross Country skiing during the Compass School winter sports program.

There will be an Open House for interested students and families Tuesday, October 28, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. This is a great chance to learn more about Compass and meet some teachers, current students, and other staff.
