Interested families are highly encouraged to attend one of these informative events. The Open Forum incorporates key issues for parents: Financial affordability of education, Addressing learning styles of students, Essential skills sought by employers, The Game of School (Rob Fried). Issues for discussion will match the needs of parents and the community.

Open Forums are scheduled from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Families are welcome. Compass School tours and discussion will follow each presentation.

Open Forum dates for 2007-2008:

  • Thursday, November 1st: Robert Fried, author, The Game of School
  • Wednesday, February 6 : Donna Borynack, Monadnock School District: Children's Learning Styles

Admissions Process

Compass School has a rolling admissions process during the academic year. We will consider and approve applications as they are completed. However, as classes may fill quickly, we encourage prospective students to submit your application as early as possible.

The application deadline is Friday, March 7.

After the application and supporting materials have been received, they are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine whether Compass School's program is appropriate to support the educational needs of the applicant.

We encourage parents and students to visit Compass School during the school day or attend one of our Open Forum presentations to better acquaint themselves with the school community before or during the application process.

  • Please arrange a school visit by calling (802) 463-2525 or email: admissions@compass-school.org

Admissions decisions are made within 2 weeks of the completion of the application materials. An acceptance letter is mailed to the applicant shortly thereafter.

The Compass School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational, admissions, financial aid policies or in any other programs administered by the School.
