Admissions Process

Admissions Process:

Compass School has a rolling admissions process during the academic year. We will consider and approve applications as they are completed. However, as classes may fill quickly, we encourage prospective students to submit your application as early as possible.

The application deadline is Friday, March 5, 2010. After this date, applications will be accepted on a space-available basis.

After the application and supporting materials have been received, they are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine whether Compass School's program is appropriate to support the educational needs of the applicant.

School Visits:

We strongly encourage all applicants and their families to visit Compass School.

  1. Our scheduled visitation times are Tuesday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – noon, by appointment
  2. If another time is needed, please contact admissions directly at (802) 463-2525, or email at admissions@compass-school.org

Admissions Decisions:

A complete application will include the following materials:

  1. Application Fee of $50.00 (non-refundable)
  2. Student Questionnaire
  3. Parent Questionnaire and Data Sheet
  4. Student Admission Agreement
  5. Transcript and school records from current school

  7. Teacher Reference #2
  8. Copy of current IEP or other learning plan (if applicable)
  9. Homeschooler’s Course Records or other documentation to support requested grade placement (if applicable)
  10. Interview and visit

Once all application materials are received, the admissions committee will determine whether any additional information or specific next steps are needed to make a final determination.
